Without any doubt, the most serious wines, and the most spectacular scenery  of Portugal are in the northern part of the country. From Porto inland along the Douro, this is where the action is- and this is where Vin will be taking a group of fortunate wine lovers.

And for the first time, Vin is incorporating a 5 day cruise as part of this Iberian odyssey. We’ll spend the evening of October 9 in Porto and board our cruise ship the next evening as we cruise the length of the Douro into Spain. 

Along the way we’ll have private wine tastings and land excursions and even a day trip to Salamanca, Spain. Then when our cruise returns to Porto, we’ll go north for the short trip to Galicia where the most exciting white wines of Spain are made.

Great red and white wines, spectacular vists in Portugal and Spain, the comfort of a small river cruise ship - these are all the ingredients for a memorable tour. And when the tour ends in Porto on October 18, Vin invites everyone to participate in the optional visit to the magical island of Madeira.
