Day 2 in Emilia Romagna: Barilla Academy Cooking Class

Today was Barilla Day! We spent the entire day at Barilla Academy with a very engaging cooking demonstration by a super star chef, Sergio Maria Teutonico. We had a multiple course lunch and Sergio showed us how to prepare each course. He is truly a great teacher and an Italian version of Mario Batalli. After lunch we went to the Barilla pasta factory and were astounded by the gigantic facility, the largest producer of pasta in the world: 9 tons of pasta per day.
