Our tour starts tomorrow so I took advantage of the free day to revisit one of my favorite walking places: the dried up Turia river bed in Valencia. Years ago the
city took this wasted area and created over 5 miles of paths and parks, including the modernistic opera house, Palau de Musica and the equally modernistic
Ciutat de las Artes y Sciencias. I rented a bike and took off. Here are some photos of Pre-Fallas Valencia. There are still plenty of fireworks; in fact day and night it sounds like Beirut or Damascus, but a lot safer!
