8-night Sicily Wine Tour – An Island of Wine, Cuisine and History
NOTE Back by Popular Demand: This tour proved so popular for 2019, it sold out shortly after announcing it, so are offering it again in 2020 for those who are interested or who were on the wait list.
Although separate from the Italian mainland, Sicilians have mastered the art of la dolce vita as much as anyone else in Italy, with world-class wines, unique cuisine with hints of Arab, Greek and Spanish influences, arts, culture and Greek ruins that rival anything found in the world. In fact, Palermo, was named Italy’s Capital of Culture for 2018.
Just off the tip of Southern Italy, the Mediterranean’s largest island, Sicily, is one that could be its own country.
With diverse terrain and topographies and thousands of years of viticulture, when it comes to wine, Sicily can produce some of the best wines in Southern Europe.
On this 8 night/9 day Sicilian wine vacation, you’ll cover the entire circumference of the island, from Palermo, to Marsala, Menfi then Agrigento and ending in mystical Taormina, where we will also visit Mt. Etna.
When our tour ends on Oct. 15, you’ll return home with an appreciation and love of Sicily – its wine and its inhabitants.
